This year, we’re excited to launch a Fund-a-Need campaign that supports a goal we deeply believe in: introducing a Spanish language program to McNear Elementary School.
Our growing school community is vibrant and increasingly diverse, with a rising number of native Spanish-speaking families. We want to embrace this richness by creating a learning environment where all students feel seen, supported, and inspired. Learning a second language strengthens brain development, boosts academic achievement, and builds lifelong skills like creativity, empathy, and cultural awareness.
With your support, we can welcome a dedicated Spanish teacher to our school, giving every student the chance to explore a new language, deepen cultural understanding, and build lasting bridges across our community. Whether students are greeting a friend in Spanish, learning a song in another language, or discovering the beauty of bilingual communication, this program will open doors in every classroom.
Our Tiered Goal: Every Paddle Counts
Your paddle pledge tonight directly funds this exciting new program. Depending on how much we raise, here's what we can achieve:
$8,000 — Launch the Program
Bring Spanish to every classroom with a dedicated part-time instructor! Students will build basic vocabulary, practice greetings, explore Spanish-speaking cultures, and learn songs to perform at a school-wide assembly.
$16,000 — Build Continuity
Secure two years of funding to retain our instructor, strengthen the curriculum, and help students move beyond early excitement into growing skills and lasting confidence.
$24,000 — Create a Lasting Legacy
Fund the program for three full years, creating a sustainable Spanish language program that becomes a vibrant, lasting part of McNear’s identity.
